The above examples are all manipulated and resynthesised meows based on the average values of our analyses. Although not all cats used these melodies, many did. Below you can listen to two real examples of one food context (and content) meow and one transport box context (and stressed) meow produced by the same cat. Notice that there are more differences than just the length and melody. If you listen carefully you can probably hear that the vowel sounds are also different. We hope to examine these differences in a future project.
